Betrayed Etymology

 

The Republicans betray their name. The root of their name is sourced from republic, which refers to representative government. Yet, this is also the party that strategically gerrymanders voting districts, alleges voter fraud to disenfranchise populations of voters, and creates restrictive laws governing suffrage that effectively target only partial representation for their states and districts. They do not seek representation, but isolation in their ideological bubbles. It seems the party at large is RINO (Republican in Name Only), when that pejorative is used primarily by these posers for historically-minded TRUE Republicans. Shame!
